Crystal Lake Solar Farm
Surya Powered's first energized project in Illinois. Built on 21.7 acres directly behind McHenry County College, Crystal Lake turns underused land into clean power for roughly 540 ComEd households - clean energy generated right next door to the institution educating the region's next generation.
Rockford Solar Farm
A 7.5 MW community solar project on 52 acres in Rockford. Rather than force it down the default permitting route, we annexed the parcel into the City of Rockford - a municipality that welcomed the project - unlocking a cleaner, more favorable zoning path. That's how we work: nimble developers who pick the route that gives each project its best shot at getting built. Once energized, it will power roughly 1,360 households.
McHenry Solar Farm
At 9.75 MW, McHenry is the largest project in Surya's Illinois portfolio - a 36-acre community solar farm engineered to generate nearly 14.8 million kWh every year, enough clean energy for about 1,760 households across the ComEd grid.
